Pixelated Fire Text
posted by photoboy27
Create a great looking pixelated fire text effect.
1. Create a new image and fill the background with black. Using a bold font, type your text.
2. Go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur and use these settings.
3. Hit CTRL-E to merge down the layers. Now duplicate your layer and select the upper one. Apply Filter –> Pixelate –> Mosaic and set the Cell Size to 9 or 10, depending on the size of your text.
4. Now set the layer’s opacity to 50 percent and go to Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen(do this 4 times). The hit again CTRL-E again to merge the layers.
5. Ok, you must pay a little attention. Go to Image > Mode > Grayscale, then Image >Mode > Indexed Colors and finally Image > Mode > Color Table and choose Black Body.
6. And here is our final result. Pretty nice, huh?
